Trick or Treating vs. Trunk or Treating — What’s Your Favorite Halloween Tradition? 🎃

Growing up as a 90’s kid, trick or treating the old-fashioned way was still the thing. Running from house to house with a pillowcase full of candy and a group of friends. These days, I know there are plenty of reasons why families lean more toward Trunk or Treating—it’s safer, easier, and often just as fun!But it got me thinking… which do you actually prefer? 5BAR Celebrates Five Years in Beloit!

5BAR Celebrates Five Years in Beloit!

Downtown Beloit will raise a glass tomorrow, October 16th at 4 p.m., as the Greater Beloit Chamber of Commerce hosts a special ribbon cutting for 5BAR, celebrating five years of business. The event will take place right at the bar — 530 E Grand Ave — and marks an important milestone for a spot that has become one of Beloit’s most unique hangouts.5BAR is known for its relaxed, creative atmosphere and craft-driven approach to cocktails. What started as a fun typo — a text about opening a “dive bar” that autocorrected to “5BAR” — turned into a full concept built around the five senses, five elements, and five tastes. Each month the menu changes, featuring new, balanced cocktails made with house-made syrups, fresh citrus, and local ingredients whenever possible. The bar’s cozy layout, comfortable lighting, and friendly service make it a staple of the downtown scene. It’s not a loud, crowded place — it’s a spot where you can actually unwind, talk with friends, or catch a local musician performing in the back room.At the center of it all is Levi Andersen, the owner and creative force behind 5BAR. Levi is more than a mixologist — he’s a community builder. He also helped create The Castle, a restored historic venue that hosts events and adds to Beloit’s growing creative energy. Levi’s passion for art, music, and local culture shows through in everything he does.On a personal note, I’ve known Levi for a while now. He was one of the very first Beloit business owners to show me some love when I started Stateline Buzz. In fact, he took part in one of my first Buzz features — something I’ll always appreciate. My wife and I love going to 5BAR because it has such a different, relaxed vibe. It feels safe, comfortable, and genuine — the kind of place you can go to end a long week or catch up with friends without any pressure.Tomorrow’s ribbon-cutting, hosted by the Greater Beloit Chamber of Commerce, will be more than just a formal ceremony. It’s a chance for the community to come together and celebrate what small business success really looks like: consistency, creativity, and connection. 5BAR has become a go-to spot for both locals and visitors, and Levi has played a big role in keeping downtown Beloit vibrant. If you haven’t visited yet, tomorrow’s event is the perfect time to stop by, congratulate Levi and his team, and see what five years of passion and dedication look like. Grab a drink, meet some great people, and be part of a moment that celebrates not just a business — but a community built around good energy and good people.

Unlocking Stories of the Past – My Experience on the Beloit and Beyond Historical Walking Trail

Unlocking Stories of the Past – My Experience on the Beloit and Beyond Historical Walking Trail

If there is one thing I have learned exploring the Stateline, it is that Beloit is packed with history hiding in plain sight. You can walk past an old brick building downtown or a quiet corner in South Beloit and have no idea the stories those places hold until you try the Beloit and Beyond Historical Walking Trail from Visit Beloit.I have done the trail myself and honestly I loved it. It is free, self-guided, and one of those experiences that makes you slow down and really see your city. Whether you are a local or just visiting, it is the perfect way to connect with the area’s past and maybe even discover a few things you never knew. Here is how it works. You sign up for the Beloit and Beyond Historical Walking Trail right from your phone. Once you have the digital pass, it shows you more than 90 historical sites across Beloit, South Beloit, and Rockton. You pick where to go, no set route, no pressure. When you reach a location, you simply check in using GPS and earn points. Each stop tells a story, from Beloit’s early industry to community landmarks that shaped our region. The best part is that you can actually earn prizes just for exploring. After checking in at 20 locations or reaching 2000 points, you get a free Beloit prize, like a really cool Beloit Poster Map. Visit Beloit, or even ship it straight to your door. I thought that was such a fun touch; it feels like getting rewarded for being curious. If you are into challenges or just want more excuses to explore, there are other trails too, including the Beers and Cheers Trail, the Loved by Locals Trail, and the Outdoor Art Trail. Each one highlights a different side of the Stateline. And if you like making a day of it, Visit Beloit also runs a Couples Dining. Retreat Giveaway worth 600 dollars, which includes overnight accommodations and dining certificates at some of Beloit’s favorite restaurants. It is a great way to turn a simple walk through history into a weekend getaway. What I love most about the Historical Walking Trail is how it blends learning with adventure. You get to see the city from a new angle, support local spots along the way, and enjoy the outdoors while uncovering the stories that built this community. If you decide to check it out, tag @VisitBeloit and use #VisitBeloit when you post your photos. Trust me, once you start exploring, you will see Beloit differently.

Vintage Shop Hop Returns This Fall with Nearly 300 Shops Across Illinois and Wisconsin

Vintage Shop Hop Returns This Fall with Nearly 300 Shops Across Illinois and Wisconsin

ROSCOE, ILLINOIS — Shoppers in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin are getting ready for one of the most popular small business shopping events in the Midwest. The fall edition of the Vintage Shop Hop takes place Friday and Saturday, October 3 and 4, 2025.The event is a self-guided road trip that connects vintage lovers with hundreds of locally owned shops. This year, 294 stores in 146 towns are participating, ranging from antique malls and boutiques to consignment shops, barn sales, and home décor stores. Inside those shops are items from more than 9,400 small businesses.Founder Ann Campos launched the event twelve years ago to help shop owners boost sales and connect with new customers. Since then, the event has grown from 180 stores to nearly 300, with thousands of shoppers traveling the two-state region each spring and fall.Campos says the trend of “cluttercore” decorating is adding to the excitement. Shoppers can find embroidered fabrics, patterns, wallpaper, and nostalgic items that bring character to their homes. Many participating stores are located in historic or unique buildings, such as barns, churches, banks, and old gas stations, making the shopping trip a memorable experience.Planning the trip is simple thanks to an interactive Google Map and a master shop list, available year-round at vintageshophop.blogspot.com. The event is also active on Facebook at facebook.com/VintageShopHopEvent.Campos notes that the Vintage Shop Hop is the largest event of its kind in the Midwest. “It’s a fabulous feeling to know that my event can impact so many small businesses in just two days,” she said.Do you want me to make this more like a newspaper-style report (neutral, third person throughout) or more like a blog/newsletter style (a little warmer, inviting readers directly to join in)?

Rockton Receives Prestigious River Public Engagement Award from DePaul University

Rockton Receives Prestigious River Public Engagement Award from DePaul University

The Village of Rockton was honored with the Chaddick Institute at DePaul University’s inaugural River Public Engagement Award on September 3, 2025, during a ceremony at the Rockton River Market. This prestigious award recognizes Rockton’s exceptional efforts in utilizing its riverfront to create a more vibrant and engaged community.Joseph Schwieterman, Ph.D., a professor at DePaul, presented the award to Mayor John Peterson, praising the village’s initiatives to enhance its historic charm and provide residents with year-round activities. "The Village’s adept initiatives activating its riverfront add to its historic charm and give residents year-round activities that enhance community life," Schwieterman stated. The award highlights the collaborative efforts among municipal staff and local stakeholders in creating events that unite the community. Professor Tijana Tufek-Memisevic, who conducted a fact-finding visit earlier in the year, emphasized this coordination as a key factor in Rockton’s success. Tufek-Memisevic was part of the team that helped present the award. The DePaul committee specifically recognized Rockton's flagship event, Old Settlers Days, which attracts over 30,000 visitors to the Rock River shoreline each summer. Other popular events like Yeti Fest, featuring snow sculptures and winter activities, and the Fairy Festival, a springtime celebration created by local wellness practitioners, further highlight the village’s diverse community offerings. In addition to these events, Rockton has adapted to changing wildlife migration patterns by introducing Pelican Fest, a nature-focused festival that includes birding hikes and educational programs. The event is supported by collaborations with the Natural Land Institute and university-led science outreach initiatives.Looking to the future, Rockton is working on transforming a five-acre brownfield site south of Hawick Street into a dynamic mixed-use development. While still in the early planning stages, this project aims to expand the village’s engagement with the river and enhance its recreational and commercial spaces.Despite not having the resources of larger communities, Rockton has been praised for its sustained planning and environmental stewardship. Schwieterman commended the village for its continued commitment to these efforts, noting that it serves as a model for communities of all sizes. This award marks an important milestone for Rockton as it continues to invest in its riverfront and community activities, fostering a stronger, more connected village for all.

$1 million gift pushes Discovery PLAYce at Beloit Public Library past 60 percent of its goal

$1 million gift pushes Discovery PLAYce at Beloit Public Library past 60 percent of its goal

We are sharing some big news from the Beloit Public Library Foundation. Discovery PLAYce, a new early childhood learning space planned inside the library, just received a $1 million grant from the Hendricks Family Foundation. Stateline Buzz is not involved with this project or the campaign. We are passing along the update and asking how you feel about it. According to the foundation, the gift is set up to help both the buildout and the programming. It pledges the final $500,000 needed for exhibits as a community challenge, and it also includes $100,000 a year for five years to support programs once the space opens. With this donation, the capital campaign has moved past 60 percent of its $4.15 million goal. The release notes about $2.675 million raised so far. Discovery PLAYce is planned as a 6,000 square foot interactive learning area for children ages 0 to 6 and their caregivers. The design calls for learning stations inspired by Beloit’s landscape, an expanded picture book collection, and resources to help caregivers feel confident leading play and learning at home. Exhibits are being designed by Luci Creative, with learning evaluation support from Belmark Associates. The project is in its quiet fundraising phase now and is preparing to launch a public campaign that aims to involve people from across Beloit, including an effort called 100 Extraordinary Women. Construction on the exhibits is slated to start in spring 2026 and wrap up in fall 2026. What do you think? Will this kind of library space help with early learning and school readiness in our community? What programs or features would you want to see for kids and caregivers? Are there ways to make sure families across Beloit can use and enjoy it?If you have concerns, what should the project team keep in mind?If you want more details or are interested in how to support the project, the library has information on its site.

Back in Clinton for Mole Enchiladas and Spicy Salsa at La Guacamaya

Back in Clinton for Mole Enchiladas and Spicy Salsa at La Guacamaya

I was recently back in Clinton and couldn’t help myself. I had to stop by La Guacamaya again. It had been a little while since my last visit, but the moment I walked through the door, everything felt just as good as I remembered. This time I ordered the mole enchiladas and, as always, added a side of their spicy salsa. The flavor of the mole is rich and deep, with just the right amount of sweetness and spice. The salsa still brings the heat in the best way possible. It’s the kind of combo that hits every time.La Guacamaya still has that same cozy and welcoming vibe. The kind of spot where the food is homemade and the people treat you like family. You can feel the care in everything they do.Isaac, Amanda, and Leo have created something special here. Every visit reminds me why this place stands out. It’s not just about the food, it’s about the experience. From the way you’re greeted to the way each dish is served, it all feels personal. If you’re anywhere near Clinton and craving real, flavorful Mexican food, La Guacamaya is worth the stop. It’s one of those spots you try once and instantly add to your regular rotation.

Celebrating 47 Years of Flavor at The Captain’s Galley in South Beloit

Celebrating 47 Years of Flavor at The Captain’s Galley in South Beloit

There’s something special about a restaurant that’s been around for nearly five decades. It says a lot, not just about the food, but about the people, the consistency, and the love poured into every single sandwich. That’s exactly what you get at The Captain’s Galley in South Beloit. This place has been a staple in the community since 1978, serving up some of the most flavorful sub sandwiches in the area. It’s not a chain, not a franchise, just a good old-fashioned local spot that’s built a loyal following the right way. And recently, The Captain’s Galley hit a huge milestone, 47 years in business. That’s something you don’t see often. If you’ve never been, you’re missing out on a true Stateline gem.Home of the Juicy Italian BeefPersonally, I love coming here because there just aren’t many places that can compete with their Italian beef sub. The beef is juicy, tender, and packed with flavor in every bite. I always go for cheese, a side of extra peppers, and, this is key, a little cup of what the regulars call “beef juice.” You know the one. It’s the good stuff that takes your sandwich to the next level. It’s clear that this isn’t just a sandwich to them. It’s a craft. The bread is always fresh, the toppings generous, and you can tell the ingredients are handled with care. That’s probably because the owner is often behind the counter, making the subs himself. It’s that kind of hands-on dedication that gives this place its soul.A Local Favorite with a Loyal FollowingYou don’t stick around for 47 years without doing a lot of things right. The Captain’s Galley is more than just a spot to grab lunch, it’s a community favorite. You’ll see regulars walking in like clockwork, greeted by name. The service is quick and friendly, the portions are generous, and the quality is always consistent.Even online, the reviews speak for themselves. Whether it’s someone raving about their hot subs, praising the fresh bread, or calling it their “go-to lunch spot,” the love is real. And it’s well deserved. Why This Place MattersIn a time when so many local spots come and go, The Captain’s Galley has stayed true to what it does best, serving up delicious food with a personal touch. It’s proof that you don’t need to reinvent the wheel, just make great sandwiches, treat your customers like family, and show up every day with pride in your work.So if you’ve never been, make the trip. And if you’re already a fan, you know exactly what I’m talking about. Places like The Captain’s Galley are the heart of our local food scene, and I hope they’re around for another 47 years.📍 The Captain’s Galley 305 Oak Grove Ave, South Beloit, ILGo hungry, and don’t forget the beef juice.

A new national TV series is about to showcase something Beloit residents have known all along—this city is worth betting on.“Betting on Beloit” premieres Saturday, July 12, on A&E, with back-to-back episodes airing at noon and 12:30 p.m. The 12-episode series follows Diane Hendricks, one of America’s richest self-made women, and her daughter Konya Hendricks Schuh as they lead a team determined to restore some of Beloit’s most neglected homes into beautiful places for families to call their own.But this show isn’t just about flipping houses—it’s about revitalizing an entire community with heart, purpose, and vision.Diane Hendricks, co-founder of ABC Supply and owner of Hendricks Commercial Properties, has spent decades investing in Beloit. She and her late husband, Ken, didn’t just build a billion-dollar business; they made it their mission to lift the city that helped launch their dream. From reimagining factory buildings into creative spaces on the Ironworks campus, to creating new restaurants, hotels, a stadium, and riverwalk spaces, Hendricks’ fingerprints are all over Beloit’s resurgence. Her daughter, Konya Hendricks Schuh, is now carrying that legacy forward through a more personal mission. As the heart of this new series, Konya and her team at Beloit College Park LLC are working to transform some of Beloit’s oldest homes, especially those near the historic district by Beloit College, into showstoppers. We caught up with Konya before the new year to get a behind-the-scenes look at this exact project. You can check out that video here: 👉 Rebuilding Beloit One Home at a TimeIn the series trailer, Konya says, “Beloit has struggled, and our mission is to buy the worst houses on the block and rehab them so they’re absolute stunners.” It’s clear the goal is bigger than just beautifying buildings. This is about planting roots, creating opportunity, and bringing a sense of pride to every corner of the city. The team featured in the series includes Konya’s husband, Matt Schuh, a skilled plumbing contractor with experience in homebuilding, as well as project manager Pete Woodkey, who has worked with Corporate Contractors Inc. for nearly two decades. Also in the mix is Conor Fox, a realtor and nephew of Diane Hendricks, who is helping find the right buyers for these newly restored dream homes. Each house is remodeled by CCI, another Hendricks company, and they’ve already made impressive progress. Homes like 630 Park Ave, 721 Park Ave, and 722 Park Ave have sold for nearly half a million dollars or more, and several others on Wisconsin and Park Avenue are either listed or in the works. While the series will include plenty of familiar faces and Beloit landmarks, it also brings a rare behind-the-scenes look at the people doing the heavy lifting. The show was filmed throughout 2024 and highlights both the challenges and rewards of transforming real homes and the lives of the families who move into them. For those who have watched Beloit evolve over the past few decades, this series is a celebration of that journey. For those new to the story, “Betting on Beloit” is a front-row seat to what a small city can accomplish when people invest in it with passion and purpose.Catch the premiere on A&E July 12, and keep your eyes peeled—you just might recognize some of your favorite streets, buildings, and neighbors. This isn’t just another renovation show. It’s a love letter to a hometown and a reminder that real change starts right where you live.

The Ultimate Guide to Old Settlers Days in Rockton IL – Tips, Food, Music, and More

The Ultimate Guide to Old Settlers Days in Rockton IL – Tips, Food, Music, and More

Hey everyone it’s Oscar here with Stateline Buzz and today I want to give you the ultimate guide to Old Settlers Days also known as OSD in Rockton Illinois If you’re planning to go or just curious about what it’s all about I’m going to break down everything you need to know to have the best experience possible.Old Settlers Days is this amazing community festival with a ton of history behind it It’s been around since 1946 and has grown into a huge celebration that brings together families friends and people from all around the area Whether you’ve been before or this will be your first time I want to share some tips and tricks to help you get the most out of your visit.First up let’s talk about what you can expect when you get there The festival usually runs over several days and something is going on all day long You will find live music from local and regional bands great food vendors with all kinds of delicious treats arts and crafts booths where you can shop for unique handmade goods and plenty of fun activities especially for kids like rides and games. One of the highlights for me every year is the parade. It shows off the spirit of the community and is a perfect way to kick off the celebration. If you are coming with kids or just love a good parade, make sure you find a good spot early so you can see everything. Now if you’re wondering about food you are in for a treat Old Settlers Days has a huge variety of food vendors ranging from classic carnival fare like funnel cakes corn dogs and cotton candy to more hearty options like pulled pork sandwiches fried fish and grilled burgers Don’t forget to check out some local favorites too because this festival is a great chance to try something new and support local businesses. If you want to beat the lines, my tip is to come early or during off-peak times like mid-afternoon on weekdays. The festival can get pretty busy, especially on weekends and in the evenings when the music events kick off. So, planning can help you enjoy the food without the wait.Parking and getting around are other things you should know about. The fe. festival has several parking lots, but they do fill up fast, especially on big event days. The website recommends carpooling or even biking if you are nearby. That way, you can avoid the hassle of parking and maybe even catch some fresh air on the way. When it comes to tickets Old Settlers Days offers a few different options depending on what events you want to see Some are free and open to the public like the parade and some of the kid’s activities but others like concerts and the demolition derby require a ticket The prices are very reasonable and you can buy them online ahead of time to skip the lines.A couple more things from the FAQ that I think are helpful to know before you go You can bring your chairs and blankets to sit on but no outside food or drinks are allowed inside the event areas Other than that pets are welcome as long as they are on a leash and you clean up after them so bring your furry friends if you want to include them in the fun.If you’re wondering about accessibility, the festival is committed to making sure everyone can enjoy it. There are ADA parking spaces available and shuttle services for those who need them. Also, most of the event areas are wheelchair accessible, which is great. One of the questions I get a lot is about weather OSD goes on rain or shine so be sure to check the forecast and dress accordingly If it looks like rain pack a poncho or waterproof jacket because umbrellas might not be allowed in some areas and you still want to be able to enjoy everything without getting soaked. For families with kids, there are tons of kid-friendly activities, including a kids' zone with games and rides. If you want to make the most of it, bring some cash because not all vendors take cards, and there are lots of small purchases to be made, from food to souvenirs. Also, keep in mind the festival is cash-friendly, so bringing some money is always a good idea, even though some vendors do accept cards. There are ATMs on site, but they can have long lines sometimes. If you want to stay connected, the festival has a social media presence where they post updates and event changes, so following them before and during the festival is a smart move. You might also want to download the festival schedule from the website so you don’t miss any of your favorite events. One last thing I love about Old Settlers Days is how it brings the community together It’s not just about the events but the people you meet the vibe you feel and the memories you make So when you go be sure to say hi to some of the vendors and locals because that’s part of what makes OSD so special. So to recap get there early or during off times to avoid lines bring cash and comfy shoes dress for the weather and don’t forget your chair or blanket for relaxing between events Remember tickets are needed for some things so buy them ahead if you can And most importantly have fun and enjoy the great energy of Old Settlers Days.

There’s something special about this time of year. The school year is wrapping up, caps and gowns are getting zipped up, and our local athletes are giving us plenty to cheer about. Hononegah High School has had an incredible run this week, and I just wanted to take a moment to highlight all the amazing things happening in our community.Let’s start with Hononegah Athletics. Big things are happening on the diamond.Meanwhile, junior tennis player Braden Monson made serious waves at the State Tennis Tournament, going 3-1 on the day and landing in the top 24 in the state. He’s back in action tomorrow morning, and we’ll all be rooting for him.Softball is right in the middle of a postseason run, too, getting ready to take on DeKalb for a Regional Championship at Stromquist Field. And boys' track is headed to the IHSA State Meet, where they’ll be looking to bring home some All-State honors. These athletes are putting in the work and making our whole community proud.Aand let’s not forget our boys volleyball team, who are Regional Champs and now gearing up for the Sectional Semi-Final at South Elgin. The teamwork, dedication, and energy these student-athletes bring are something that deserves to be celebrated.Speaking of celebrating, huge congratulations to the Hononegah Class of 2025! It’s no small thing to make it through four years of high school, especially with everything these past few years have thrown your way. You’ve shown grit, heart, and determination, and now it’s your time to shine.Whether you’re heading off to college, jumping into the workforce, taking a gap year, or still figuring it all out, you’ve earned this moment. Soak it in.To all the athletes, students, coaches, teachers, and families who make up the Hononegah community, thank you for showing what school pride really looks like. This week has been a reminder of how lucky we are to be part of something so strong and so connected.

🎓 Congratulations to the BMHS Class of 2025! 🎓

🎓 Congratulations to the BMHS Class of 2025! 🎓

As graduation day approaches, I want to take a moment to give a huge congratulations to the incredible students graduating from Beloit Memorial High School this year! 🎉June 7th will be a special day for so many families in the Stateline area, and for the Class of 2025, it marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter. But before we look forward, let’s take a quick walk through the legacy of the Purple Knights.Beloit Memorial High School has been a cornerstone of the community for over a century. The current BMHS building opened in 1966, located right along the Rock River with its iconic purple exterior and sprawling campus. Before that, Beloit High School had existed in earlier forms, with history dating back to the 1800s. Over the decades, BMHS has evolved and expanded—adding athletic fields, performance spaces, and modern renovations to keep up with the times, including a major renovation to the auditorium and athletic wing in the early 2000s.Through it all, BMHS has stood as a symbol of pride for the city of Beloit. If you’re from Beloit, you already know: BMHS takes athletics seriously. The school has a long-standing rivalry with Janesville schools and has been home to powerhouse programs in track and field, football, swimming, and basketball. In fact, Beloit Memorial’s boys swim team has made multiple appearances at the state level, and the school has earned state titles in various sports throughout its history.Beyond trophies and titles, BMHS has always celebrated teamwork, spirit, and community—values that extend far beyond the field.Over the years, BMHS has produced some pretty amazing alumni. A few notable names include:Jim Caldwell – Former NFL head coach of the Indianapolis Colts and Detroit Lions.Everett Mitchell – Former Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice.Joe Davis – National sports broadcaster for FOX and the voice of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Each one of them started their journey right here at BMHS—and who knows, the Class of 2025 could have the next big name in sports, media, or leadership. While BMHS is, of course, an academic institution, it’s also widely recognized for its extracurricular programs. The school has an award-winning band program that has traveled for national performances, a theater program that puts on high-level productions, and plenty of clubs that foster creativity and leadership. The annual show choir competitions and marching band showcases bring the community together and highlight the amazing talent right here in Beloit.Did you graduate from BMHS? What class were you in? What’s one memory that still makes you smile?I’d love to hear your stories—drop them in the comments below! Whether you're Class of ’75 or Class of ’25, this is your place to reminisce and celebrate everything it means to be a Purple Knight.🎉 Congrats again to the BMHS Class of 2025—you’ve made your mark. Now go show the world what Beloit is all about.

Fridays in the Park – My Favorite Way to Do Lunch in Beloit

Fridays in the Park – My Favorite Way to Do Lunch in Beloit

There’s something special about being downtown on a Friday afternoon in the summertime. The sun is out, people are smiling, music is playing, and the smell of delicious food is floating through the air. That’s Fridays in the Park—and it’s honestly one of my favorite events in Beloit. From May 23 through August 29, every Friday between 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM, the heart of downtown transforms into a casual lunch party. Local restaurants set up shop to serve affordable, freshly made meals and drinks—usually just $10 total for both. Each week is a little different, which keeps it fun. One Friday might feature pulled pork sandwiches and slaw, while the next has wraps, tacos, or pasta. You never know what you’re going to find, but you always know it’s going to be good. There’s live music playing, friends catching up, coworkers taking a break, families grabbing a quick bite—it’s just a feel-good scene. And it’s one of those things that reminds me why I love covering the Stateline area. Events like this aren’t flashy or over-the-top… they’re local, real, and centered around community. So if you’re ever wondering what to do on a Friday lunch hour in Beloit, this is it. Whether you work nearby, live in the area, or are just visiting, Fridays in the Park is an easy way to support local businesses, hear some live music, and enjoy a little sunshine in the middle of your day.I'll definitely be there for a few of these Fridays—camera in one hand, taco in the other. If you see me, say hi! And as always, keep showing up for these awesome local events. That’s what keeps the Stateline strong. 💛
