Join the Fun at Make Music Beloit 2024!

I'm super excited to share all the details about Make Music Beloit 2024. This amazing event is happening on Friday, June 21, 2024, and it's going to be a day filled with music, community, and fun. Let me tell you all about it!

What is Make Music Beloit? Make Music Beloit is a free, citywide music festival that brings our community together to celebrate the joy of music. This event is part of the larger Make Music Day, which happens in over 1,000 cities worldwide on the summer solstice. Did you know that Wisconsin has more cities participating in Make Music Day than any other state in the U.S.? Pretty cool, right?

What's Happening at the Event? The 2nd annual Make Music Beloit will feature 42 performances by 27 different artists or groups at 18 unique venues. You'll find music in the streets, parks, offices, schools, and other cool spots around the city. There's something for everyone, no matter what kind of music you enjoy. From jazz to hip-hop, rock to classical, you'll get to experience a wide variety of musical styles and tastes.

How to Join In? Make Music Beloit is all about celebrating the start of summer and the joy of making music. Whether you're a seasoned musician or just love to listen, this event is for you. The festival is open to music makers of all ages, skill levels, and musical interests. It's a DIY citywide celebration where almost any way to make music can and will happen. So grab your friends, family, and instruments, and join in on the fun!

Special Performances One performance I'm particularly excited about is at Nature at the Confluence in South Beloit, where I'll be enjoying the sounds of Patten Pending. This Jazz/Hip-hop fusion group, made up of talented musicians born and raised in Beloit, aims to bring a positive light to our community. Their mission is to inspire the younger generation to find their passion and stick with it. You won't want to miss their incredible performance!
