A Special Look Inside Beloit Memorial High School

School District of Beloit

I got a special tour of Beloit Memorial High School, led by important folks from the school's team – Vice Principal Jaymee, and Monica and Maria from the Communications Department. They showed me around, and I was really impressed by what I saw!

First, we checked out the huge auditorium that can fit 1000 people. It's where students get to show off their talents, even in Scotland every year. That's pretty cool!

Then, we went to the gyms. There are two – one for regular gym stuff and another for basketball games. The school really cares about keeping students active and having fun.

The swimming pool was next on the list, and it's the second biggest in Wisconsin. Imagine having a pool that big at your school!

I got a bit jealous when we stepped into the cafeteria. It looked like a fancy restaurant with lots of food options. Eating there must feel like a treat every day.

After that, we explored the techie side of the school with Jaymee. There's a spot for CNC stuff, a woodshop, and a computer science lab. It's clear the school is making sure students are ready for the future.

To sum it up, my special tour of Beloit Memorial High School, guided by Jaymee, Monica, and Maria, was awesome. The mix of arts, sports, and tech in a cool environment makes this school stand out. Big thanks to the school team for letting me see what makes their place so special!

𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆, 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝗲𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝘆Our BMHS AP African American Studies students created African Masks as part of their classroom learning and experience. The patterns on each mask represent the religion, culture, geography and trade of the ancient African empires and kingdoms. Students worked in groups to first create a presentation on their chosen empire, and then designed and created the masks to hang outside the classroom door. #BeloitProud #GoodThingsHappening #OneBeloit
